Radio KIM is:

• a local informative radio station
• with developed network of correspondents
• broadcasting 24/7 in Serbian language, twice a week in Roma language
• based in Culture House in Caglavica village, close to Kosovo capitol Pristina
• covers most of Central Kosovo municipalities
• area of coverage has some 40.000 audience

Idea and project for founding of Radio KIM started in year `99, during the time of serious lack of objective information for Serbs in Kosovo. We tried to solve this problem by opening of impartial and independent informative radio station for the benefit of all Kosovo people.

Radio started its experimental program on December 3rd 2000, supported by International Community and local foreign offices of United States, Great Britain, Canada, and Germany.

The main project’s achievements are listeners’ education on independent media informing, culture, musical and basic service information.

Radio KIM is one of the leading members of Kosovo Media Association – KOSMA www.kosmanet.net, which consist 5 main Serbian broadcasters.

We are contributing to WNC – World News Connection wnc.fedworld.gov

Radio has also Internet Club and Artistic Gallery. Through several Basic Computer Courses our Internet Club educated more than 300 students of all generations capable of successful computer and Internet managing.

Radio KIM Gallery is positioned at the hall in front of the studios. Its’ planed as one part of multimedia culture center, and is first after-conflict culture institution in Serbian inhabited areas of Kosovo, which is directed towards universal spiritual values and modern artistic expressions.
